The Clark County Parks and Trails App is an experimental website and mobile application developed by the Clark County GIS department in cooperation with the Clark County Youth Commission.
Clark County’s Youth Commission challenge for 2016/2017 is to engage youth with Clark County’s government. The Youth Commission’s recommendations included improving access to County resources by making them more youth friendly. Making information youth friendly also makes it more people friendly. The Youth Commission recommendations included keeping it simple and making it available in the “App Stores”. The Clark County Parks and Recreation Finder is the result of this effort.
The Clark County Parks and Trails App is a combination of parks and recreation facilities from all the jurisdictions in Clark County. We have not included private facilities.
The Clark County Parks and Recreation Trails app is version 1.0. It is envisioned that the Youth Commission will continue to provide insight and feedback on how to improve this application in the future.
